Prove that the tangents drawn at the ends of a diameter of a circle are parallel.
Solution

Tangents l and m are drawn at the end points A and B of the diameter AB of the circle.
∠1=90°, ∠2=90° (tangent is perpendicular to radius at point of contact).

∴∠1=∠2. But these are alternate interior angles.
∴l∥m.
